While porting it to CodeIgniter, I’m actually making it mandatory to use my CI-WURFL library.

If you can create a “wrapper” library which sits between DA-MIRF and the DeviceAtlas API/WURFL API and standardises the method calls (or stick an if statement in every time you want to call one), it should be pretty easy to figure out which to use.

Any thoughts as to making it WURFL compatible for use where DeviceAtlas may not be an option?

What kind of license are you releasing this under? I’m hoping to port it to the CodeIgniter framework…

Thanks for taking a look through the code. I’ve actually found a few bugs (as expected) that need some TLC soon. You’re absolutely right that $variance is never set (my bad – I think I replaced it with $delta and forgot about it), and there’s a bug with the way I’m setting attributes that causes the HTML not to validate when the tag is re-written.

I’m hoping to have a little time to revisit this soon – perhaps a little session at MobileCamp Brighton?

I imagine that, when I try running it, the code is going to throw an error stating that $variance has not yet been set. Looks like the code may still work with error reporting turned off, but it’s something to be aware of
